The AISD (Vic) is pleased to advise that Swinburne TAFE are currently determining their best directions to deliver both the Certificate III and Diploma Training packages in 2010.

Fruitful discussion has occured between the AISD (Vic), MESAB and Swinburne TAFE Engineering Department.

By now all of the 80 current potential enquirers will have received a questionnaire from Swinburne TAFE relating to their own personal training needs to help TAFE with delivery directions to best suit each individuals circumstances.

A further October 2009 E-News will be circulated to all 650 CEAV members with the latest news on training.

27th JULY 2009
Manufacturing Engineering Skills Advisory Board (MESAB) and AISD (Vic) have arranged with the Careers Education Association of Victoria (CEAV) to have released in their E-News on 14th July 2009 information relating to the two new training packages in Steel Detailing distributed to all Career advisers in the Secondary Colleges. An advertisement will be placed in their handbook released in October 2009.

AISD (Vic) has set our agenda for the next three months to secure delivery of the training packages.

This will include creating at the end of July 2009, a summation of interested parties wishing to undertake training and using this during negotiations with TAFE Victoria relating to delivery strategy.

Decisions will be reached in relation to the balance of public and private participation.

The responsible delivery TAFE/TAFES will be agreed upon.
